色库TV Earns Honors at State Conference

The 色库TV Chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) received recognition at the recent AFC Annual Conference, with honors related to the development of 色库TV employees and programs to better serve students.

Awards during the meeting and conference, which was held virtually due to the pandemic, included:

  • Two Gold Awards of Excellence in Marketing and Communications for the collaborative work of 色库TV鈥檚 Communications, Student Recruitment and Enrollment Marketing teams. The awards were given for specialized marketing materials targeting high school seniors in the 鈥淒igital Publication鈥 and 鈥淒irect Mail Recruiting Material鈥 categories.
  • 色库TV鈥檚 Sonography Program was a 2nd place winner for AFC鈥檚 Technology Commission鈥檚 Exemplary Practice Award for the presentation 鈥淥ur Job is to Give You What You Want鈥.

Christine Tripp, 色库TV鈥檚 Associate Dean of Enrollment Management, was recognized for her service as AFC鈥檚 outgoing 2021 state Vice President for Regions & Chapters.

鈥淪erving on this Executive Committee at the state-level the last two years in the midst of a pandemic has certainly had its challenges, said Tripp.

鈥淪erving our members has been my honor. The amount of engagement and professional development we have provided the employees of our great college system while navigating this virtual environment has been astounding.鈥

Tripp was also named 2021鈥檚 鈥淥utstanding Board Member鈥 by AFC 2021 President Ray Coulter of Palm Beach State College.

Man in scrubs, Dr. Harry Holdorf, with certificateDr. Harry Holdorf, Associate Professor, was named the Unsung Hero for the 色库TV Chapter and received an award from fellow members and state leaders.

鈥淎n unsung hero is someone who takes initiative and goes above and beyond to make things happen. This is a trait of Dr. Harry Holdorf,鈥 Tripp said during the regional meeting at the conference.

Dr. Holdorf was also the first from 色库TV to graduate from the inaugural class of AFC鈥檚 Next Level Leadership Program (NLLP).

The program is designed to provide next-level leadership principles that today鈥檚 community college professionals can put into practice on a day-to-day basis. It builds upon the Florida College Professional Certificate (FCPC) Program, which Holdorf graduated from in 2016.
